An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Leading Provider in User Environment Management Solutions bases in Daresbury Warrington. The Technical Helpdesk Support Team is being strengthened and grown in order to provide a higher level of support to its global users, so further 3rd line are being added to the team infrastructure 1st and 2nd Line Support.
The 3rd Line Support Role is providing support of AppSense software to customers, resellers, and internal staff. It is essential that the candidate be able to communicate effectively to both customers and with development staff within the company. Excellent troubleshooting/consultancy skills are essential. Training will be given on AppSense products but the candidate is expected to have a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Windows networks and Citrix. The candidate is expected to have extensive working knowledge of the Windows registry, user profiles and such skills as being able to debug the user logon process. As the support duties will involve speaking to users by telephone, excellent communication skills – oral and written are required
Desirable knowledge
- Experience of Supporting VDI with Citrix XenDesktop, VMware (formerly VDM() or other vendors solutions
- Certifications – Microsoft, Citrix, VMware, Cisco
- Working knowledge Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 Administration
- Application virtualisation/streaming (e.g. Softgrid/App-V,XenApp streaming etc)
Mandatory prerequisites
- years of supporting and troubleshooting of Citrix XenApp/Presentation Server/MetaFrame. Ideally with implementation experience too but not necessarily design experience.
- Core Microsoft setup and troubleshooting – Active Directory, security, network, DFS, ISS
- Hands on use of server virtualisation products – e.g. VMware Workstation/ESX
- Extensive troubleshooting experience with SysInternals (e.g. Process Monitor & Process Explorer) and Microsoft tools (e.g. windbg)
- Operating systems – Windows Server 2003 R2, XP, Vista, Windows Server 2008 (32 and 64 bit) – installation, configuration and troubleshooting
- Scripting – vbs or similar (Microsoft platforms)
- Ability to analyse technical problems and deliver solutions
Will work as part of shift rota basis – number of shifts and details confirmed at interview. The shifts rota will be covering support network for AppSense Global users. Currently the initial requirement is not 24x7, but may be extended to work as 24x7 x 365 days shift rota at later date. Notice and consultation will be given

DACH Marketing Manager

Responsibilities for leading and developing channel and customer marketing activities in Germany to increase presence and drive revenue. The role will focus on developing and executing channel marketing strategies with AppSense resellers, as well as nurturing relationships with key technology vendors, particularly Citrix, Microsoft and VMware. Other duties will include targeted end user marketing, outsourced PR and ownership for channel marketing spend and ROI analysis. A good level of technical acumen is essential to the success of this role.

Enterprise Sales Account Manager
Locality Oslo, Norway
The purpose of this Enterprise Sales Account Manager position is to take advantage of significant growth in AppSense revenues from Norway, continuing to ensure direct coverage and drive is given to the sale of AppSense products into the Norwegian market. Focussing on companies listed on the Oslo Børs.
- This will be achieved by:
- Planning and managing sales initiatives
- Meeting face to face with customers with the support of the AppSense PreSales team
- Working effectively with the UK & Rest of World sales team & Norwegian accredited Certified Solution Partners
- Coordinating end user events for specific customer groups
Requirements
- 5 or more years of Enterprise software sales experience, including 3 or more years spent in a direct touch role
- Awareness of User Virtualization and experience of the Citrix, VDI marketplace
- Successful track record selling at C-Level in Norwegian Enterprise accounts.

Internal Sales Representative

The aim of the Inside sales role is to manage our incoming leads, proactively drive new business opportunities via the telephone and provide ongoing follow up until closure.
You will be expected to support AppSense Channel Managers, Major Accounts and Technical consultants and work closely with the team to drive the business forward.

It is expected that 80% of the inside-sales consultants’ time will be spent in the office proactively calling new customers and some existing customers to generate new business opportunities. Working sales campaigns, updating sales forecast and contacts in our database go hand in hand with the role.
The remaining 20% of the inside sales consultants time will be split into the following areas:

Software Tester

Taking ownership of a large area of a product the main duties of the Software Tester will be:
- Produce and maintain test plans for new and existing functionality
- Write and execute manual tests based on functional specifications
- Raising and tracking of detailed fault reports
- Collaborate with development teams to define test specifications and plans
- Perform detailed root-cause-analysis of software issues to support efficient and effective diagnosis and resolution

Technical Relationship Manager

This full time role will either be based in the Munich office or from the postholder's home office (to be confirmed), and will involve travelling throughout the DACH territory. The postholder will report to the DACH PreSales Team Leader on a daily basis.

Technical Trainer

The newly formed Professional Services team are responsible for educating channel partners and end users. This role will play a key part of ensuring that AppSense technology is installed, configured and its use is maximised to benefit our enterprise customers.
You will be responsible for designing course material, assessing training needs and delivering training in either classroom setting, on-line through e-learning or on a one-to-one basis.
Required knowledge
It is essential you have a good technical background in virtualisation technologies. You will also have had experience of teaching either Citrix, VMWare or Microsoft courses and ideally hold technical accreditations. You'll also have good communication & presentation skills.
