Knowledge Base
As an AppSense customer or evaluator, you will have access to a knowledgebase of technical and product information submitted by AppSense customers, Technical Support and our development and testing experts.
A huge amount of information is contained in this knowledgebase including technical tips, best practices and ideas for future product features.
The AppSense knowledgebase is available from the AppSense customer portal 'myappSense'. To access myAppSense you must either be an AppSense customer or evaluate our software. You can register for a 21 day evaluation anytime by clicking here or by clicking the 'Evaluate' button througout the website.
End Of Life
AppSense is keen to provide the best support possible for its products and to provide new functionality for both our existing and new customers. As part of the evolution of the products we will periodically announce that a version of our products or an environment is approaching the end of its supported life (EOL).
The AppSense EOL policy is to provide support to the current release version plus the previous major version, its minor versions and its service pack releases. All versions prior to the previous major version are considered end of life products.
When a product reaches its end of life date, it will be denoted as end of life on the AppSense website. The following conditions apply to all end of life products:
- AppSense will no longer provide technical support for this version of the product.
- AppSense will not fix any defects in this version of the product.
- No future minor releases or service packs will be delivered for that version.
- AppSense will actively support the current release version of the product along with all release versions of its preceding major version.
Announcement:
AppSense Management Suite V7.0 was released on January 15th 2007. With this release, AppSense will no longer support the following products and environments:
- Performance Suite 2.0, 2.1, 2.2
- Versions of AppSense Management Suite prior to 6.0.1200
- Server Based Toolkit (all versions)
- AppSense Management Suite V7.0 (and later) on Microsoft Windows NT version 4
The AppSense Deployment System has now been replaced with the AppSense Management Center. We will make the Deployment System available to customers until January 2008 and will provide technical support until January 2009, however please note that this software is no longer being developed by AppSense and is not supported on MS Vista and x64 bit platforms. We strongly recommend you use the AppSense Management Center to deploy all versions of AppSense software.
With the release of AppSense Management Suite V8.0 in November 2008, AppSense will no longer be supporting the following products and environments:
- Versions of AppSense Management Suite prior to 7.0
- Microsoft Windows 2000 will not be supported on version 8.0 and subsequent versions
The AppSense Deployment System has now been replaced with the AppSense Management Centre.
We will make the Deployment System available to customers until January 2008 and will provide technical support until January 2009. No development time will be implemented, or development of the product or fixing any bug/software issues identified. In addition, it is also not supported on MS Vista and x64bit platforms. We strongly recommend you use the AppSense Management Centre to deploy all versions of AppSense software.
